The Heckard Family
Married Since 2000
Pastor David and Pastor DeeDee Heckard lead Equipped Church LV with one shared conviction: the Gospel of Jesus Christ is simple, and it changes everything.
They are the parents of five children and the proud grandparents of two granddaughters — "Papa and Sugar" to those who know them best.
Their home is their church, and their church is their family. Everyone who walks through the door is welcomed into both.

Pastor David Heckard
Pastor David has a deep passion for rescuing people from religion — from the performance, the pressure, and the shame that so often masquerade as faith. His approach to the Gospel is direct, practical, and rooted in Scripture.
He believes the Good News is exactly that — good news. Not a burden to carry, but a life to receive. His teaching cuts through complexity and lands on what Jesus actually said.

Pastor DeeDee Heckard
Pastor DeeDee surrendered her life to Christ at 21 and has never looked back. She is deeply Word-focused — someone who has let Scripture do what it says it does, and who shows others it can do the same.
Her ministry is marked by clarity and warmth. She has a gift for making the Gospel feel accessible — not because she waters it down, but because she lives it out simply and invites others to do the same.
